Fast CDN, easy to use

Used their content delivery network for my site. Set up was quick. Pages load much faster now. Good service.

Good for CDN, setup takes time

I set up a pull zone for my website's static assets. The initial configuration for the content delivery network was a bit involved, with setting up the origin and then the SSL certificate. Once it was running, the performance was noticeable; my site loaded faster, which was the main goal. I tested the geo-replication feature, and it seemed to work as advertised. Support was helpful when I had a question about purging the cache, responding in a few hours. The per-gigabyte bandwidth pricing is straightforward, no hidden fees, which I appreciate. Overall, a solid service but expect to spend a little time getting things configured correctly.

Decent value, free credits helped

I was looking for a cost-effective content delivery network solution. Bunny.net offered $5 in free credits when I signed up, which was nice for trying out their edge storage. I used it for a small project, and the bandwidth costs were low. It felt like a good deal, especially with the initial bonus. For someone on a budget, it's worth considering.

Hey, thinking about switching from Cloudflare. Is bunny.net really better for small sites or is it just marketing hype?

K Kevin 2 months ago
From my experience, if you're mostly doing static assets, bunny's CDN is seriously fast and way cheaper. For really complex stuff with tons of WAF rules, Cloudflare might still have an edge.

I'd say it depends. For raw CDN speed and cost, bunny is often a winner. Cloudflare has a lot more free features though, if you're okay with their network rules.

Can you actually stack those free credit offers? Like if I get a referral code and then sign up for a new user deal, does that work?

N Nina 2 months ago
Nah, usually only one promo code or free credit offer per new account. They're pretty strict about that for new sign-ups.

I tried that once, they only let me use one. It's usually either a new customer bonus OR a referral, not both at the same time unfortunately.

Does anyone know if those free credits they give you for signing up actually expire? Or can I just hold onto them forever?

T Tom 1 month ago
AFAIK, the free credits they give for new users don't expire. They just sit in your account until you use them up.

Nope, they don't expire. I signed up ages ago, used a bit, and the rest is still there whenever I need to spin up something new.

What kind of payment options do they even take? Just credit cards, or like PayPal or something?

M Mike M. 1 month ago
Pretty sure it's mostly credit cards. I've always used my Visa and never had an issue.

Yeah, standard credit/debit cards are fine. I don't recall seeing PayPal as an option when I signed up, but might be worth checking their billing section.

Anyone know how the annual billing discount works? Is it like a big chunk off or just a little bit?

D Dana 1 month ago
It's usually a decent percentage off, makes a noticeable difference if you're planning to stick around for a while. Worth it for sure.

They typically give you a bonus on your credit balance when you pay annually. So you put in X amount, and they add a percentage on top, effectively giving you a discount over the year.
